Your Journey Starts Here
Every child begins their judo journey in a different place. Some join to learn a new sport, make friends and build confidence. Others discover a passion for competition and set their sights on achieving success on the mat.
At Senshin, we provide a pathway that supports every stage of that journey. Through expert coaching and a positive learning environment, students develop fundamental judo skills, improve their athletic ability and build the confidence to embrace new challenges.
As they progress, opportunities become available to participate in gradings, club events, competitions, development squads and performance programmes. Whether a child trains for enjoyment, personal growth or competitive success, we are committed to helping them reach their potential and achieve their goals.
Little Ninjas
Join our Little Ninjas programme and give your child a fun and active introduction to movement, sport and physical development.
Designed for children aged 4–6, Little Ninjas uses exciting obstacle courses, games and challenges to develop agility, balance, coordination, confidence and fundamental movement skills. Along the way, children develop important learning behaviours such as listening, following instructions, taking turns and participating positively as part of a group.

Our Approach to Learning, Progress & Development
At Senshin, we believe every child should have the opportunity to learn, improve and succeed in a way that is right for them. Our programme combines structured teaching, clear progression and exciting opportunities for those who wish to challenge themselves further.
Our classes are designed to help students build strong foundations in judo while developing confidence, athleticism and a love of learning. Skills are introduced in a logical and progressive way, allowing children to develop at a pace that matches their age, experience and ability. Through regular practice, students gain confidence in their techniques, improve their movement skills and develop a deeper understanding of the sport.
Gradings provide important milestones along this journey. They recognise the effort, commitment and progress a student has made, giving them clear goals to work towards and a sense of achievement as they advance through the grades. At Senshin, a grading is about more than demonstrating techniques—it is a celebration of learning, development and personal progress.
For students who enjoy testing themselves, we also provide opportunities to participate in club events, development activities and competitions. Competition is never a requirement, but for many children it can be a rewarding way to apply their skills, gain experience, build confidence and learn valuable lessons through sport.
As students grow, a range of pathways become available. Some choose to focus on participation, enjoyment and personal development, while others pursue additional training, competitions and performance opportunities. Whatever their goals, every student is supported, encouraged and given the opportunity to progress on their own unique journey.
